Running your store
Shipping and couriers
Set delivery charges by area, connect Pathao, Steadfast, RedX, Carrybee or eCourier, and book parcels from the order page.
Shipping has two parts: what customers pay for delivery at checkout, and how you send the parcel. Both are in Settings → Shipping, on the Zones & Rates, Shipping Types and Couriers tabs.
Delivery charges
Shipping zones
A zone is an area you deliver to, with its own charge. A new store in Bangladesh starts with two:
- Inside Dhaka: Dhaka’s city areas, at ৳70.
- Outside Dhaka: everywhere else, at ৳120. This includes Dhaka district’s upazilas, such as Savar and Keraniganj.
At checkout, the customer’s address picks the zone. To change a charge or add an area, open Zones & Rates and select Add zone or Edit. Give the zone a Name, choose its Regions, and set a rate for each shipping type.
Each rate has a Charge:
| Charge | How it works |
|---|---|
| Flat Rate | The same amount on every order. |
| Weight Based | Tiers by the order’s total weight, using each product’s weight. |
| Price Based | Tiers by the order’s value. |
| Free Shipping | No charge. |
| Local Pickup | The customer collects the order from you. |
Set Free over to make delivery free once an order passes an amount, such as free delivery over ৳3,000.
Shipping types
Shipping types are the delivery options customers pick from at checkout, such as Standard and Express. Every store starts with Standard. Add one from Shipping Types → Add type, give it a Name and a Description such as Delivered within 24 hours, and set its rate in each zone. Turn off Show on checkout to hide a type without deleting it.
Couriers
Connect a courier and you can book its pickup straight from an order, without copying the address into the courier’s own panel. eCommFly sends the customer’s name, phone, address and the amount to collect, and saves the tracking number on the order.
| Courier | What you need |
|---|---|
| Pathao Courier | Client ID, Client Secret, and your Pathao Account Email and Account Password, from Pathao’s Developer API page. |
| Steadfast Courier | API Key and Secret Key from your Steadfast panel. |
| RedX | API Token from Developer API in your RedX merchant panel. |
| Carrybee | Client ID, Client Secret and Client Context from Carrybee’s developer panel. |
| eCourier | User ID, API Key and API Secret. |
Manual Shipment is always available for parcels you send another way, such as by hand or with a courier that isn’t connected.
Connect a courier
- Go to Integrations and open the courier.
- Enter the credentials from your courier account.
- If you have more than one pickup point with the courier, enter the Pickup Store ID to use. Leave it empty to use your default.
- Choose the Mode. Sandbox uses the courier’s test servers; switch to Live with your live credentials to book real parcels.
- Turn on Enabled and select Save changes.
The Couriers tab in Settings → Shipping shows each courier you’ve connected, and turns them on or off.
Keep parcel statuses up to date
eCommFly moves each order along, from Shipped to Delivered, as the courier reports the parcel’s progress. For that, set up the courier’s webhook:
- Copy the URL from the IPN / Webhook box on the courier’s integration page.
- Paste it into the courier’s panel, and set a secret there:
- Pathao: on the Developer API page. Enter the same secret as Webhook Secret in eCommFly.
- Steadfast: in your Steadfast panel. Enter the same token as Webhook Auth Token in eCommFly.
- Carrybee: on the Webhook Integration page. Enter the same secret as Webhook Secret in eCommFly.
- RedX: as the Callback URL under Developer API, including the
?token=part of the URL.
- Select Save changes.
Pathao, Steadfast and RedX parcels are also checked with the courier every two hours, so a missed update still arrives. For eCourier, update a parcel’s status yourself from the order page.
Book a parcel
An order must be confirmed before it can be shipped. See Orders to confirm one.
One order
- Open the order and find Shipment.
- Select Send to Pathao Courier, or the courier you want.
The parcel is booked with the courier, and its tracking number appears on the order. To add a parcel you booked elsewhere, select Create shipment instead, choose the Shipping provider and enter the Tracking number and Tracking URL yourself.
Many orders at once
- Go to Confirmed Orders and select the orders.
- Select Shipments.
- Choose the Shipping provider and select Create shipments.
Print packing slips
Select orders in Confirmed Orders and choose Packing slips, or select Packing slip on an order’s page. Pick the print size for your printer: 58mm POS, 80mm POS, a 2x3” Sticker or 3x4” Sticker, or an A4 invoice. Choose what the sticker shows, such as the items and shipping type, in Settings → Orders under Packing Slip.
Shipment statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Not shipped yet. |
| Processing | You’re preparing the order. |
| Packed | The parcel is packed and waiting for pickup. |
| Handed Over to Courier | The courier has picked up the parcel. Shown as In Transit in the orders list. |
| Shipped | The parcel is on its way to the customer. |
| Delivered | The customer has the parcel. The order is now Completed. |
| Cancelled | The parcel was cancelled or returned. |
An order’s shipment status only moves forward, never back. Delivered and cancelled shipments are final. A cancelled parcel doesn’t cancel the order, so you can ship it again.
